I got this idea from a quilt my mom made when I was a kid. I saved drawings my kids drew (Emily was ages 3-8 and Ryan was ages 7-12). I traced each picture with a Sharpie and then we used fabric crayons to color each picture. I love it because it shows what was important to each of them at different ages. I think it will be a fun keepsake.

I found this Halloween pattern in a quilting magazine. It was a little confusing to piece, but I think it turned out really cute. The spider web was supposed to be 'make-it-yourself chenille' but I said 'are you kidding me?'. I was lucky to just get plain old fabric to look decent.
